That’s right, I took almost the whole morning off, did no work, and read a non-intellectually stimulating book on the beach in between gossiping with the girls and eating salt and vinegar chips! And I’m proud of it!
I’ve been resisting the urge to hit the beach all week, even worse, I’ve been running- outside- everyday. Today I agreed to give into temptation of the ocean and resist the necessity I generally feel to work out.
The best part about going to the beach today?
Because I decided to go to the beach I couldn’t have lunch at my grandparents, which I had been looking forward to all week….BUT I still wanted to stop by and say hello quickly. I pleasantly found my aunt, my grandfather and my grandmother all on the back porch enjoying the sun. As if this weren’t delight enough, my aunt, who is fully aware of my excitement and desire to see Mumford and Sons on the Eastern Prom. this summer, asked if I had gotten my tickets today?
WHAT? I inquisitively exclaimed.
She informed me that more tickets had gone on sale at Port City at 10 (just 30 minutes earlier). I gave everyone loving hugs and kisses good-bye and headed down town. Where I found a parking space directly in front of Port City (this almost never happens). And to my excitement was able to purchase two tickets!!!!
Best start to my beach day ever! Now it’s off to tend the bar! Hope everyone enjoys their weekend!
