A new kind of charm.
As a going away present my mom got me these beautiful Alex and Ani bangles meant to keep me in good spirits and good style on my new adventures across the country!

The idea behind Alex and Ani jewelry is to adorn, enlighten and empower. While I’m not really a fan of those particular adjectives, I stand behind the idea. They are all about embracing and giving off positive energy. At the risk of sounding pretty cheesy, I totally agree!
Its all about mental attitude. At the end of the day it truly is the one thing you will always have ultimate control over. Channel positive thoughts and good outcomes and the outcome will be, well, good. Channel negative thoughts and dwell on being sick, jobless, alone, etc. then you’ll end up that way! I really believe it’s that simple.
Simple to do? Absolutely not. I continuously get caught up in the day-to-day stresses. This week, it’s not having a job in San Francisco. The bracelets are helping to remind me to will it and let there be a way. WAY easier said than done!
Anyway I love the specific bracelets my mom picked out for me. The look and different charms on the bracelets are very much so my style and, coincidentally, stand for many of the qualities I’m trying to master in my new adventures.
Anchor- Hope, Tranquillity, Stability
Serpent- Rejuvenation, Transformation, Renewal
Emerald (my birthstone)- Love, Wisdom, Growth
Mermaid- Femininity, Love, Mystery
Sailboat- Courage, Adventure, Transition
I’ll wear them along my journey and try my best to channel some of these traits. Namely the femininity and stability parts. JUUUUST kidding. Kind of. 
More importantly, I’ll wear them and look semi-stylish (something I more often that not struggle at appearing)!
