I know I’ve been slacking a little with the blog posts this week- sorry! But not too sorry…it has been 80 degrees. In March. In Maine. I’ve been out enjoying this weather and spending time with family and friends all week. With the new change in position at work I’ve had a lot more free time and, given the weather, I thought my time would be best utilized catching up with the people who mean the most to me. I’ve spent the week doing some much needed reflecting that I literally just didn’t have time to do before.

This week has included, but not limited to: driving to Rockland, Beals tea berry ice cream, wine and cheese parties, girls night out to Bresca, standard drinks with co-workers at Local, welcoming my sister home from Hawaii, swooning over Patrick Swayze, reading and writing at the beach, loads of running, eating out with my parents, friends visiting me at work, witnessing a late-night jam session consisting of my father, his black guitar and a harmonica, catching up with my brother and his new lobstering endeavor, watching ‘Dirty Dancing’ with my best girlfriends, busy nights behind the bar at work, watching a squirrel unsuccessfully try to get to the bird feeder at my grandparents and, of course, getting a sun burn.
Conclusions I’ve come to this week: I truly have the best friends and family, tea berry ice cream is not as good without rainbow sprinkles, I live in one of the most beautiful places on earth, the sun really is my drug, my dad’s catalog of knowledge and musical talent never ceases to impress me, I eat WAY too much cheese, ‘Dirty Dancing’ will always give me butterflies, my brother is growing up, sometimes the simplest things bring you the greatest pleasure and I’m really, really good at having fun and enjoying life!
