Favorite Foto Friday
This is a photo from when I was in San Francisco last month. The little town in the distance, Stinson Beach, right outside of the city, is this beautiful, peaceful little place. It comes across as a tight-knit community where there’s opportunities to surf these waves, head up the mountain for a hike or catch up with your friends around the fireplace over a beer at the cute little restaurant right off the beach.
This week started with a great memorial day BBQ and great weather. I’ve spent a lot of time catching up with family and friends which has been fun. However, it has also been a week in which my lack of challenge or stability of a substantial amount of work that I like has been wearing on me and brining me down.
I made a big life decision a while back to move to San Francisco at the end of the summer. This week keeps me brining back to this peaceful little place and the city of San Fran. The move, the new challenges, the adventure etc.- are a huge contribution to helping me find my serenity in the current place I’m in. I find serenity in my family and friends and the many moments of happiness I have here as well, but sometimes the emotions that come with the feelings of lack of accomplishment can be a drag.
These days I have to keep reminding myself that the space I’m in is only temporary and that I can’t forget to enjoy the ride…and that there are so many little places like Stinson Beach, so many new challenges and new adventures to discover in my very near future.
